WHEEL SIDE JOINTS AND SHIFTING AXLE SHAFT CONNECTIONS
A constant-velocity joint is any disconnectable device for transmitting rotary motion between two shafts (or other rotating elements) that maintains the transmission ratio constant over time. There are several types, from the simplest ones, that rigidly connect two trees arranged on the same axis of rotation, to the more complex ones that transmit the motion between misaligned trees and in relative motion.
